Dear Parents.

The children seem to be enjoying their back-to-school activities. With fall upon us, we are all looking forward to the cooler weather.

On Friday, October 30th, we will have our Halloween parade and special snack. We invite the parents and family members to attend. We will begin at 2:30. Dismissal will be after snack.

Just a reminder school will be closed Monday, October 12th for Columbus Day.

School Pictures will be taken on Wednesday, October 14th. See below.

Our Parent Teacher night will be Wednesday, October 21, 2026. We are requesting at least one parent attend. This is for parents only, no children. We will start at 6:30pm. The teachers will be explaining how your child's day goes and what they will be working on.

Toys

Clothes Bins

Please make sure your child has clothes in their clothes bin. Your child's name should be on their coats and each piece of clothing.

Children's Lunch and More

Many of the children have Bento boxes for their lunch. If your child has something that needs to be heated, please put it in another container as we cannot heat up the entire Bento box. You may want to try a thermos. Also, please place your child's name on all items coming into school, coat, hat, sneakers, lunch box, water bottle etc. Thank you.

Picture Day

Picture day will be October 14th at 10 am. You will be getting more information on this shortly. If Wednesday is not your child's normal day for school, please be here at 10:30 for pictures. You will have to remain with your child until their picture is taken.

Farm Day and Pumpkin Picking

On Wednesday, October 28th, we will have our pumpkin picking and a visit from the farm animals. If Wednesday is not your child's normal day for school, you can bring them to the event at 10:30am. You will have to stay with your child. If you can't make it, feel free to have a friend or relative bring them.

Dear Parents.

We welcome back our continuing students and welcome our new students and families. We are looking forward to a wonderful school year.

The first days of school can be an adjustment for our new students, but rest assured everything will be fine. If we feel your child is having difficulties, we will let you know. Your child's well-being is of utmost importance to us.

In October we will have a parent-teacher orientation night. The teachers will inform the families know our plans for their children and what you can expect this school year. You will be getting more information on this shortly.

If you have not yet please join our Facebook page. This page is only for families of students in our school. It is a way for me to communicate with all of you quickly and pass on any important messages. We also at times go live during the school day.

We will continue to get the children at the front door. We find this works well. We keep the classrooms sanitized and a hepi filter runs while the children are in the classroom. We also, weather permitting, keep the windows open.

New Employee

I would like to welcome Angely Colon. Angely will be working with Miss Kristin in the toddler room as Miss Cathy has semi-retired. Angely has a lot of experience working in this field and is a friend of Miss Ely. We are very happy to have her here with us.

Clothes Bins for Preschool and toddler Rooms

Please make sure your child has clothes for their clothes bins. Your child's name should be on each piece of clothing. Clothes bins or bags are in your child's classroom.

Toddlers Nap

The school will supply nap sacks for your child. They will be sent home weekly to be washed.

School Snacks and Lunch

Pizza Friday

We will continue Pizza Fridays. If your child attends on Friday, you can pay $15.00 per month and pizza will be supplied. For September it was automatically added to your tuition. If you do not want this let Joanne know.

Also, we do not allow uncooked carrots or hot dogs for lunch. The carrots can be shredded or cooked and sent in. If you must send in hot dogs, they must be halved length wise and cut into very small pieces. Grapes and cherry tomatoes must also be cut.

Please note filtered water, whole milk and 1% milk is offered at snack and lunch. Snack consists of crackers, fruit, vegetables, cheese, pretzels, goldfish, and selected cookies. Lunch is supplied by parents. Please have your child's lunch in a lunch box clearly marked with their name. If their lunch must be kept cold, please place an ice pack in the lunch box. Parents have used thermos for mac and cheese, soup, and chicken nuggets. If you use a bento box, please do not place food that has to be heated in the box. Please place it in separate container. If needed, your child will be given assistance setting up their lunch. The toddlers will have their lunch set up for them and will be given assistance with eating. Please note all lunch boxes will go on top of the work bin shelf in your child's classroom or crate. Due to fire marshal restrictions nothing can be left in the hallway.

Allergies

If your child has any allergies, please make sure your child's teacher is aware of it.

School Days and Hours

Just a reminder that you must adhere to the schedule you enrolled your child for. We must keep a specific child to teacher ratio, so this schedule is very important. Also, there are no make-up days if your child is out ill/vacation and if you bring your child in late you must still pick them up at their normal dismissal time. There will be an overtime charge for late pick-ups.

Tuition

Please note tuition is based on the number of days your child attends in a school year. It is then broken down into ten equal payments.

Children's Work Bins

Each child has a bin in her/his classroom. This work or notes from the teacher will be given to you daily.

For children who are not potty trained, please be sure we have diapers, wipes and training underwear available.
