Dear Parents,
We welcome back our continuing students and welcome our new students and families. We are looking forward to a wonderful school year.
The first days of school can be an adjustment for our new students, but rest assured everything will be fine. If we feel your child is having difficulties, we will let you know. Your child's well-being is of utmost importance to us.
In October we will have a parent-teacher orientation night. The teachers will inform families of our plans for their children and what you can expect this school year. You will be getting more information on this shortly.
If you have not yet, please join our Facebook page. This page is only for families of students in our school. It is a way for me to communicate with all of you quickly and pass on any important messages. We also, at times, go live during the school day.

New Employee
We would like to welcome Angely Colon. Angely will be working with Miss Kristin in the toddler room, as Miss Cathy has semi-retired. Angely has many years of experience working in childcare and is a friend of Miss Ely. We are very happy to have her here with us.
Clothes Bins
Please make sure your child has clothes for their clothes bins (preschool and toddler rooms). Your child's name should be on each piece of clothing. Clothes bins or bags are in your child's classroom.
Reminder: When we go out on the playground the children must wear sneakers. Please make sure your child wears sneakers to school.
Toddlers' Nap
The school will supply nap sacks for your child. They will be sent home weekly to be washed.
School Snacks & Lunch
Pizza Friday
We will continue Pizza Fridays. If your child attends on Friday, you can pay $15.00 per month and pizza will be supplied. For September it was automatically added to your tuition. If you do not want this, let Joanne know.
This is a peanut- and nut-free school. Please do not send your child in with any nut products. There is a sunflower butter that tastes like peanut butter available. If you are using a peanut butter substitute, please tell your child's teacher so that we know it is not peanut butter.
We do not allow uncooked carrots or hot dogs for lunch. Carrots can be shredded or cooked and sent in. If you must send in hot dogs, they must be halved lengthwise and quartered. Grapes and cherry tomatoes must also be quartered.
Filtered water, whole milk and 1% milk are offered at snack and lunch. Snack consists of crackers, fruit, vegetables, cheese, pretzels, goldfish, and selected cookies. Lunch is supplied by parents. Please have your child's lunch in a lunch box clearly marked with their name. If their lunch must be kept cold, please place an ice pack in the lunch box. Parents have used a thermos for mac and cheese, soup, and chicken nuggets. If you use a bento box, please do not place food that has to be heated in the box; place it in a separate container. If needed, your child will be given assistance setting up their lunch. The toddlers will have their lunch set up for them. All lunch boxes will go on top of the work bin shelf in your child's classroom or crate. Due to fire marshal restrictions, nothing can be left in the hallway.
If your child has any food allergies, you need to supply all their food, including snacks.
Allergies
If your child has any allergies, please make sure your child's teacher is aware of it.
School Days & Hours
Just a reminder that you must adhere to the schedule you enrolled your child for. We must keep a specific child-to-teacher ratio, so this schedule is very important. There are no make-up days if your child is out ill or on vacation. If you bring your child in late you must still pick them up at their normal dismissal time. There is an overtime charge for late pick-ups.
Tuition
Please note tuition is based on the number of days your child attends in a school year. It is then broken down into ten equal payments.

Children's Work Bins
Each child has a bin in her or his classroom. This work, or notes from the teacher, will be given to you daily. For children who are not potty trained, please send in diapers and wipes.
Toys
We do not allow children to bring toys to school. Please adhere to this policy.
